Kate Middleton and Prince William Could Be Moved Into Windsor Castle Despite JUST Moving to Adelaide Cottage
The royal family is undergoing a huge amount of change following the Queen's death. On top of Charles immediately becoming King of England and the Cambridges taking on the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall title, several royals will be moving house. King Charles and Queen Consort Camilla will likely move from Clarence House to Buckingham Palace, but it looks like Prince William and Kate Middleton could move as well—despite the fact that they literally just relocated from their country home Anmer Hall to Adelaide Cottage.
According to The Daily Mail, there is a "radical drive to overhaul the vast Royal estate," which includes moving the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge into Windsor Castle proper. As the outlet puts it: "Charles's wide-ranging plans include turning Balmoral into a museum to the Queen and moving the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge into Windsor Castle."
Meanwhile, Prince Andrew is apparently "anxious" about his home in Windsor, while his daughters Beatrice and Eugenie "will be vying for accommodation in the reshuffle."
"The Prince of Wales strongly believes that these places have got to deliver something for the public beyond just being somewhere for members of the Royal Family to live. Everything is seen through the lens of the question: 'What value is this offering to the public?" a source said. "Everybody recognizes it makes no sense to run so many residences but if you give them up entirely you will never get them back when Prince George and the younger Royals grow up and need somewhere to live."
