Kate Middleton Made a Surprise Appearance This Morning and Looked SO Chic

Now that we are week into 2019, you can officially mark your calendars with a *very* important first of the year: This morning, the royal family was seen for the first time since attending Christmas services last week.

Queen Elizabeth, Prince William, and Kate Middleton all made an appearance today as they headed to church in Sandringham, where they also spent Christmas. Kate's appearance was not announced, so she surprised fans when she showed up in an incredibly chic blue coat and matching blue headband:

Unfortunately, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were nowhere to be seen, as well as Prince George and Princess Charlotte. However, this fabulous coat of the Queen's did make an appearance:

I'm choosing to believe that Meghan and Harry stayed home to watch Prince George and Princess Charlotte, because honestly how cute would that babysitting session be?
