Kate Middleton Looks Lovely in a Yellow Dress for the Queen's Platinum Jubilee Service of Thanksgiving
Celebrations for Queen Elizabeth's Platinum Jubilee continued on Friday with the royal family attending a special Service of Thanksgiving at St Paul’s Cathedral in London. While unfortunately The Queen herself could not be at the event, as she is continuing to have episodic mobility issues, many of her closest family members were in attendance, and standing out in the group was Kate Middleton, who looked elegant alongside her husband, Prince William as she walked into the church.
For the occasion, the Duchess of Cambridge wore a bespoke Emilia Wickstead dress in a lemon hue which she paired with a matching hat by Philip Treacy and nude pumps. She also gave a subtle nod to the absent Queen by wearing a pair of her Bahrain pearl earrings with the look.
The Service of Thanksgiving comes one day after celebrations for Her Majesty's historic 70th year on the throne kicked off with a special Trooping the Colour. For the parade, Kate recycled a sophisticated, white blazer dress by Alexander McQueen, which she previously wore last June at the G7 Summit. She paired the ensemble with a navy and white fascinator hat, also by Philip Treacy, and diamond and sapphire dangle earrings that once belonged to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.
Kate and several other members of the royal family are also expected to attend a number of other events in honor of The Queen's monumental milestone over the weekend. Tomorrow, she and William will tour Wales as part of the monumental moment at some point, while Prince Edward and Sophie, Countess of Wessex will travel to Northern Ireland and Princess Anne will visit Scotland.
