Kate Middleton 'Hopes' Harry and William Reconcile but Is Trying 'to Stay out of the Drama'
How is Kate Middleton coping with her husband Prince William and brother-in-law Prince Harry's strained relationship? How does she feel about Meghan Markle and Harry's candid admissions that they're struggling with the way the British tabloids have incessantly attacked them? Us Weekly spoke with a source about all that, and the Duchess of Cambridge is genuinely concerned...but she's also not about to put herself in the middle of all it.
Kate "hates to see" Meghan and Harry "so miserable," a source told the outlet. But “while Kate’s concerned about Harry and Meghan’s well-being, she tries to stay out of the drama,” the source added.
With William and Harry's strained relationship, which Harry spoke openly about during an interview on ITV's documentary about his and Meghan's tour of southern Africa, Kate obviously wants them to patch things up. “[She] hopes William and Harry will eventually heal the rift and let bygones be bygones,” the source said.
Harry told ITV's Tom Bradby that he was still there for his older brother despite their differences right now.
“Part of this role and part of this job and this family, being under the pressure that it’s under, stuff happens but we’re brothers," Harry started. "We'll always be brothers, and we’re certainly on different paths at the moment, but I’ll always be there for him, and he’ll always be there for me. We don’t see each other as much as we used to because we’re so busy, but I love him dearly, and the majority of the stuff is created out of nothing, but you know, as brothers you have good days, you have bad days.”
