Kate Middleton Bundles Up in a Military-Inspired McQueen Coat for a Rainy Day Trip to Leicestershire
While the working members of the royal family keep a busy schedule, they're rarely seen at joint engagements, but this morning marks one of those rare events. Today, Prince William and Kate Middleton are accompanying Prince Charles and Camilla on a visit to Leicestershire, where they will be touring a rehabilitation center for members of the armed forces.
Unfortunately, the sun didn't shine too brightly on their trip. As Victoria Murphy reported from the ground in Loughborough, "despite heavy hail before they arrived, the weather brightened in time for the royals to walk from their cars to the £300 million center."
Kate was clearly ready for inclement weather. The Duchess of Cambridge arrived at Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre bundled up in a navy blue jacket with military-inspired buttons and skirt by Alexander McQueen. She paired the look with a small top-handled bag, black heeled boots, and gloves. For the appearance, Kate also wore her hair in a half-up, half-down style, to better show off her drop earrings.

During their visit today, the royal foursome will visit a prosthetics workshop, and will meet with both patients and staff at the facility. They will also attend a reception, where they will unveil a commemorative plaque.
"I have seen the growth of an idea transfer into what we see today," Prince William, who served as patron of the charity which raised money for the new rehabilitation center, said in a statement,"and it is a rare and immensely satisfying thing to have witnessed.”
