Kate Middleton Brings Out Her Most Colorful Coats for Her Royal Train Tour
Winter is upon us, and Kate Middleton is ushering in the new season by showcasing her best in colorful outerwear during her Royal Train Tour of the UK. The Duchess of Cambridge and her husband Prince William took off on their trip last night, with Kate departing London's Euston Station in an emerald Alexander McQueen coat. Kate has worn the coat before, back during her January 2020 trip to Bradford:
It was her most holiday-inspired look so far, with the Duchess pairing the green long coat with a red tartan scarf. She also wore a mask, as everyone should amid the coronavirus pandemic (although the Duchess and royals haven't always):
The Kensington Palace Instagram shared footage of the couple's departure, writing, "The Duke and Duchess are off! This evening, The Duke and Duchess departed on the #RoyalTrainTour to pay tribute to the inspiring work of those who have gone above and beyond to support communities across England, Scotland, and Wales. We hope you can join us here, in thanking these amazing individuals and organizations along the way, in what has been a challenging year for the nation."
Kate and William's three-day tour will take them across England, Scotland, and Wales, the Instagram account announced over the weekend. They will undertake "working visits to pay tribute to the inspiring work of individuals and organizations that have gone above and beyond to support communities during this incredibly challenging year for the nation."
Kate and William first arrived in Edinburgh today, where the Duchess stepped out in her bright blue Catherine Walker bespoke coat—her second outerwear look. Kate first wore the coat in Norway back in 2018:
