Years pass, seasons change, a pandemic strikes, yet Kate Middleton remains the same. Chalk it up to living in a palace with access to the best of the best, and that includes skincare — but which exact products are often a mystery, thanks to the royal family's tight-lipped policy. Yet one brand says they've made it among her favorites, and the star product is on sale for a deep discount.
According to a representative for the brand, the Duchess of Cambridge is a fan of Germany's organic Biotulin Supreme Skin Gel. A bottle normally goes for $65, but you can now snag it for $39 — its lowest price in months, according to product tracking website Camelcamelcamel. And while the black package looks unassuming, Amazon shoppers say they see wrinkle-smoothing effects from the thin gel within an hour.
"Works like magic," wrote an impressed reviewer, who said it's making the rounds in their friend group. "Saw [a] noticeable difference on forehead lines and frown lines, [and a] tightening feeling." The excitement is contagious: Another user said the Biotulin smoothed out their wrinkles to a surprising degree, succeeding where countless other anti-agers failed.

So, what's at work inside the pump-top bottle? The gel relies on spilanthol, a local anesthetic extracted from the paracress plant. According to a small study published in the International Journal of Cosmetic Science, spilanthol rapidly relaxes muscles similarly to Botox, creating a "noticeable reduction" in fine lines and creases. Such is just the case, shoppers say.
"Smoothes the skin while tiny lines disappear. Your skin becomes vibrant," wrote a fan. "I am going to order this product again and again." Another enthusiast said the effects even tided them over when they couldn't maintain their Botox during lockdown. "As the weeks slipped by and my forehead began looking more and more haggard and lined, my go-to 'no-needles' cream wasn't giving me any results and I remembered an advert about Biotulin."
They continued: "This is working. Truly and honestly after a week of use, I woke up and looked in the mirror and didn't see a riverbed of furrows. I don't have glass-forehead, and I can still see some faint lines around my temples in the right light, but that's a massive step ahead of where I was last week…I'm not sure what kinds of results I will keep enjoying over time, but this honestly is working for me so well that I won't be racing back to my med spa."
Compelling stuff, especially because another shopper notes the gel also lightened their dark spots (perhaps due to spilanthol's inhibition of tyrosinase, which causes hyperpigmentation). And as a last person noticed, it tightened up their under-eyes within 24 hours, so much so that their spouse noticed.
Pretty good for $65, and astounding for $39. Try it for yourself and grab a bottle on Amazon.
