Kate Beckinsale, 47, Doesn't Get Botox But Does Swear By This $120 Moisturizer
Kate Beckinsale is known for her roles in Pearl Harbor, Serendipity, and the Underworld series, but the 47-year-old actress has also become known for her seemingly ageless physique and complexion. The star was a WH covergirl back in December 2019 and shared that she's a big fan of trampolining with LEKFit and also trains with Brad Siskind of Gunnar Peterson’s gym.
When it comes to her skin, US Weekly shared that Kate snapped back at an Instagram follower earlier this year who commented on one of her pictures requesting that the actress “Please stop getting Botox…you will so regret it later in life,” to which Kate responded, "I literally don’t get Botox. Please hop off my d–k you will so regret it later in life.” Luckily the actress has also shared a glimpse into what she does do to make time stand still—keep reading for her must-have skincare products and treatments.
Her skincare routine is simple, but she's diligent about it.
"Kate is obsessed with taking care of herself and has always been good with her skin," Kát Rudu, Katie's longtime facialist, raved to Popsugar. In speaking with Today in 2018, the actress shared exactly which products she uses. Check them out below.
She swears that this is the cream that keeps her looking so good.
RealSelf reported in 2019 that Kate responded in the comments of an Instagram video she shared (apparently this is a regular thing for the actress) that her "secret for looking so good" is "Happiness, freedom and rejuvenating hydrator cream by SkinMedica.” Thanks for asking, random commenter!
She sees her facialist for treatments on the regular.
While she may not be getting botox, Kate is still up for some in-office upkeep. In that same Popsugar interview, Kát shared that she visits the actress at her house every couple of months and that she has three go-to treatments she generally sticks with for Kate: Microneedling, red light therapy, and microdermabrasion.
She believes in the power hydrating your skin.
Kát also shared with E that one of her keys to keeping the skin youthful is hydration saying, “It's all about hydration. It's purely hydration. When the face is hydrated it looks alive and like it has been fed.” After she exfoliates and does extractions on Kate, “Then we go into hyaluronic acid which she is obsessed with. We just pour hyaluronic acid onto the skin for a really long time and just massage it and massage it.”
She’s not afraid to experiment.
Maybe you’ve heard of the "penis facial"? Yep, Kate’s done it. Popularized in the U.S. by celebrity esthetician Georgia Louise, her website breaks down the famed EGF (Epidermal Growth Factor) treatment as “a cleanse, followed by an intensive peel, micro-needling machine and an electrifying mask to calm the skin, followed by her ‘secret box’ of EGF serum (Epidermal Growth Factor). EGF is derived from the progenitor cells of the human fibroblast taken from newborn baby foreskin – which helps to generate collagen and elastin. FDA approved stem cells and peptides are penetrated deep into the skin using a special electric micro- needling wand. This process allows the active ingredients to be transported deep in the skin by creating temporary micro- channel.” You, too, can try the coveted celeb treatment at Georgia’s salon in New York or LA for the price of $650.
