Kate Beckinsale, 45, Reveals The Badass Butt Exercise That Gives Her Strong Glutes
Kate Beckinsale posted an Instagram video of her butt workout with trainer Gunnar Peterson-and it's no joke.
The 45-year-old actress was performing a box squat with a shoulder press, using a barbell and a toilet in place of a box.
Beckinsale hits the gym weekly and trains with Peterson regularly. Her fit physique proves exercise is one of the best things you can do to stay healthy and ageless.
Kate Beckinsale is definitely aging in reverse. The 45-year-old actress has not only envy-worthy skin but her body is absolute #goals. Sure, good genes might play a role, but The Widow star works hard at the gym to look as amazing as she does.
This morning, Beckinsale shared one of her go-to moves for a super toned booty on her Instagram-something we've all been wondering about to be completely honest!
"What sets @gunnarfitness apart from other trainers is not just the fact he’ll suddenly install a loo under the squat rack to entertain himself but it is a portion of it," she wrote.

But what Beckinsale is doing isn't your average squat. Beckinsale is performing a box squat with a shoulder press, which aims to build power and strength in your lower body and core, while also toning your shoulders and arms. Throughout the entire movement, Beckinsale keeps the barbell lifted overhead, which is seriously impressive. Beckinsale's trainer, Gunnar Peterson, also posted a clip of Beckinsale performing the move and shares her entire glute series in the caption.
Oh, and in case you haven't noticed, that's in fact a toilet-and not a box-she's using to squat lower and deeper. Hey, you have to make working out fun and entertaining somehow!
Beckinsale isn't shy about sharing her favorite workouts on Instagram. Here's another Instagram video of her doing a series of butt exercises on a bench.

To improve her endurance and increase her lower-body strength, Beckinsale also does sled pushes. Look at her go.

And let's not forget about abs. Beckinsale uses a cable machine in this video to work her obliques.
