Justin Bieber Performs Emotional, Slo-Mo Rendition of "Peaches" at the Grammys
Justin Bieber got the star-studded Grammys crowd on their feet with his performance of "Peaches" tonight.
The singer started off on the piano, with a slow, raw, and emotional rendition of his pop hit. "I got my peaches out in Georgia (oh, yeah, shit) / I get my weed from California (that's that shit) / I took my chick up to the North, yeah (badass bitch) / I get my light right from the source, yeah (yeah, that's it)," he sang, garnering cheers and applause from the audience.
Soon, he stepped up the beat, joined by Daniel Caesar and Giveon.
Justin, in a black hoodie, black leather pants, chunky white sneakers, and a backwards baseball cap, had stars from Lady Gaga to Billie Eilish dancing. Even the singer's wife, Hailey Bieber, was swaying to the beat and cheering him on.
"Peaches" is nominated for both Record and Song of the Year, along with Best R&B Performance and Best Music Video.
At tonight's 64th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony, Hailey and Justin walked the red carpet looking in love as ever. The supermodel appeared in a strapless ivory gown by Saint Laurent, which she wore with delicate gold and diamond necklaces.
Justin embraced his go-to streetwear look but gave it an elevated twist, as he showed up in a custom Balenciaga oversized dark gray suit, worn over a simple white undershirt. He accessorized with a hot pink beanie, black shoes, and a pair of dark shades.
The Biebers' appearance at the ceremony comes after Hailey experienced a health scare, which she opened up about last month on her Instagram Story. She said that on March 10, she was at breakfast with husband Justin when she started experiencing stroke-like symptoms. She then went to the hospital, where she said doctors found a "very small blood clot" that caused a lack of oxygen to her brain. The supermodel added that her body "passed it on its own" and she "recovered completely within a few hours," but it was still "one of the scariest moments I've ever been through."
Justin spoke about the scare during a concert in Denver. "Most of you probably know or have seen the news about my wife … but she's okay, she's good, she's strong," he said. "It's been scary, you know, it's been really scary. But I know for a fact that God has her in the palm of his hands, and that's a good thing."
At the time, Hailey responded to her husband's sweet shout-out by sharing a photo of him at his concert on her Instagram Story and adding a red heart emoji.
