This July will be the inaugural Topeka Restaurant Month
TOPEKA (KSNT) — The inaugural Topeka Restaurant Month begins on July 1. The event is designed to celebrate the rich culinary diversity in Topeka.
Topeka Restaurant Month encourages the community to support local businesses by offering rewards for dining at one of the 21 participating restaurants.
Why your gas bill could potentially see a hike in price
Each of the restaurants will have QR codes for customers to scan that will open up a check-in form. When the form is completed, you are entered to win weekly prizes, as well as a grand prize.
27 News spoke with someone involved with one of the participating restaurants about why they decided to participate.
“Just to help encourage people to go check out those local places and get off that beaten path,” said Hayden Federico, Assistant Manager at the Celtic Fox. “There’s a lot of places that are in nook and cranny’s that are all over, not just in downtown Topeka, but all over Topeka that have a lot of character and a lot to offer. So, it’s really good to allow people to go and check those out.”
Hot and muggy again for Tuesday
