Dolly Parton’s Heartstrings will premiere on November 22, 2019, and between the star-studded cast and what we know will be an amazing soundtrack (have you heard what she did for Dumplin’?) we are seriously excited for the new show. Here’s everything we know so far about Dolly’s latest debut.
What is Heartstrings about?
Each episode will be based on one of Dolly’s iconic songs. Dolly will introduce each installment herself, Deadline reported, and will explain the meaning behind the hit that inspired what viewers are about to watch. They will all be stand-alone stories, though, and each will have its own cast.
Do we know what the episodes are?
The Hollywood Reporter claimed these are the episodes we can expect to see:
“Jolene”
“These Old Bones”
“J.J. Sneed”
“If I Had Wings”
“Cracker Jack”
“Sugar Hill”
“Down From Dover”
“Two Doors Down”
Who is in the cast?
So many award-winning celebs have signed on for a role in Dolly’s show. Dancing With the Stars' Julianne Hough is playing Jolene, while Ginnifer Goodwin and Kathleen Turner will appear as Genevieve and Miss Mary Shaw, respectively. Kimberly Williams-Paisley is also slated to star in one of the episodes.
The first photos of Heartstrings have also been released (above), and Dolly and the rest of her crew look amazing. Julianne is practically unrecognizable as her character Jolene, a waitress who has dreams of making it big in the music world.
Anyone else down for a Dolly listening/viewing party?!
