Julia Louis-Dreyfus's sons dance to 'Beat It' to mark her last day of chemotherapy

When Seinfeld’s Elaine Benes is your mom, you celebrate by dancing. And so, of course, Julia Louis-Dreyfus’s two sons, Henry and Charlie, marked their mother’s final day of chemotherapy with some amazing moves.

The Veep star shared a funny video of her kids dancing and lip-synching to Michael Jackson’s iconic song “Beat It.” “My beauty boys @henryhallmusic @charlie_hall made this for me today, my last day of chemotherapy,” she captioned it. “Pretty swell, right? Ain’t they sweet?”

YES.

Dreyfus, who will celebrate her 57th birthday on Saturday (Jan. 13), announced in September that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer.

“1 in 8 women get breast cancer. Today I am the one,” she wrote. “The good news is that I have the most glorious group of supportive and caring family and friends, and fantastic insurance through the union. The bad news is that not all women are so lucky, so let’s all fight all cancers and make universal health care a reality.”

Production on her show was halted, and she underwent multiple rounds of chemo. But the actress has continued to be vocal — and at times hilarious — about her struggles during treatment. Just before Christmas, for example, as she received a transfusion, she joked that she was “Getting ready for the holidays with my awesome Xmas cocktail.”

She also made a tongue-in-cheek post that appeared to be from the set of her show: “@veephbo in solidarity to bust cancer’s ass.”

JLD refreshed memories of Elaine’s celebrated work on the dance floor back in March, when Charlie’s team at Northwestern University made the NCAA men’s basketball finals. Just, you know, in case anyone cares to watch it again.
