Jon Jones Secures Top Spot on the UFC's Pound-for-Pound Ranking
Following the events of UFC 285, the UFC has now released its updated Pound-for-Pound ranking. As many expected, Jon Jones' impressive First Round Guillotine Choke submission win over Ciryl Gane for the vacant UFC Heavyweight Championship pushed him to the top spot on the Men's P4P ranking. The move up saw Alexander Volkanovski and Islam Makhachev pushed down along with the next eight fighters on the list.
Meanwhile, on the women's side, the P4P ranking saw the arrival of Alexa Grasso after her shocking Face Crank submission win over Valentina Shevchenko for the UFC Women's Flyweight Championship. Grasso shot up to second place on the list, with Amanda Nunes maintaining the top spot and Valentina Shevchenko relegated to the number three spot.
