John Legend Talks About Luna Saying "Beyoncé"
John Legend has been very busy as of late, starring in NBC's Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert, while raising two-year-old daughter Luna Simone, and gearing up for a son (very soon).
Sitting down with Ellen DeGeneres on Wednesday’s episode of The Ellen Show, the musician and actor spilled some secrets about wife Chrissy Teigen's due date for baby number two, and Luna's recent "milestone"-she said "Beyoncé" for the first time.
When the host mentioned Teigen's growing baby bump, inferring that she's likley due to deliver soon, Legend confirmed that the due date for their baby boy is rapidly approaching.
"We're due very soon," the artist revealed, adding that he's a bit apprehensive for how Luna will react. "And I don't know what to expect really because I don't know how Luna's going to get about sharing and being a big sister. I don't think she grasps exactly what's going to happen yet."

Continuing on Luna and her "fun age" filled with firsts, Legend got into talking about the 2-year-old's most recent linguistic achievement-when she said "Beyoncé" for the first time.
“She said ‘Beyoncé‘ for the first time,” said the 39-year-old actor. “And I was like, 'That was Luna’s first 'Beyoncé.' I feel like I should write it down in her baby book.'”

When asked why Queen Bey's name came out of little Luna's mouth, Legend explained that it happened when the family was listening to Lemonade in the car, and he and Chrissy began talking about the music star in the front seat.
“Chrissy and I were talking about Beyoncé," Legend recalled, "And Luna just starts saying things that we say now, and she said ‘Beyoncé’ in the car."
Baby Luna might just be the youngest member of the Beyhive, but the proud dad says she, like the rest of us, is still in the dark about #WhoBitBeyonce.
