John Legend Once Tried To Break Up With Chrissy Teigen, And She Was Not Having It
Chrissy Teigen is not just the queen of shutting down Twitter trolls - she's also the queen of shutting down breakups.
In an interview with The Guardian, John Legend, who married Chrissy in 2013, opens up about the time he tried to break up with the Lip Sync Battle host, citing how stressed and busy he was. "I was just like: 'I’d just be happier single right now,' and she was like: 'No,'" he said. Just. Like. That.
Chrissy responded to the interview on Twitter, calling John a "whiny face" for his attempt to break up with her:
This wasn't the first time the couple got real about their less-than-one-day breakup: Chrissy discussed it in the December issue of Cosmopolitan and, like John, she cited his stress leading up to the breakup. "I knew it came from a place other than us not working. It was the stress of him having to maybe cancel a show, and he had never been in a real relationship-or so he says now. I always joke, 'Remember when you tried to break up with me?' He’s like, 'Yes, sorry. Big mistake.'"
