1. Who is John Cena's wife, Shay Shariatzadeh?
In 2013, Shariatzadeh obtained a bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the University of British Columbia (NBD). She currently works as a project manager for Sonatype, a software company.
Although Shariatzadeh lived in Canada when she first crossed paths with the wrestler, many believe she now resides at Cena’s mansion in Land O’ Lakes, Florida.

2. How did they meet?
Cena met Shariatzadeh back in 2019 while he was filming Playing with Fire in Vancouver, Canada. The pair were often spotted around the city by eyewitnesses, who claimed they looked “happy and peaceful.”
The actor later revealed that the movie will always remind him of their meet-cute. “What’s truly special about this one is that, no matter what projects I’m involved in in the future, this one will always have a special meaning because I got to film a special project and meet someone special,” he told Entertainment Tonight.

3. Are they married?
Absolutely. In October 2020, Cena and Shariatzadeh secretly tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Tampa, Florida, according to TMZ. The news might shock some fans, since we didn’t even know they were engaged. Cena reportedly proposed in private and obtained a marriage certificate with Shariatzadeh a few days before the ceremony. (Bonus points for shock value.)

4. Do they have any kids?
No, and we don’t expect that to change in the near future. Cena previously dated WWE star Nikki Bella for several years—however, the couple broke off their engagement in 2018 when they realized they shared different views about starting a family.
