Joanna Gaines Shared Her Favorite Holiday Items—And They're On Sale!
"Hearst Magazines and Yahoo may earn commission or revenue on some items through these links."
HGTV star Joanna Gaines just shared her favorite holiday decor items with House Beautiful, and as always, she did not disappoint in her design choices. Instead of picking a bunch of random pieces from various retailers, she opted for 10 favorites from an outpost close to her heart, Magnolia. “This collection is rich with invitation, with pieces that return you to childlike wonder and encourage sentiment and celebration, from meaningful ornaments to a home trimmed with tradition and whimsy.”
There’s even something a bit nostalgic and European about the collection. Perhaps it’s the simple shapes or the organic materials (think pale wood and heavy marble). Regardless, there’s an elegance to the pieces she chose, and trust, you'll want to *add to cart*.
Oh, and btw, most of these Magnolia hoiday items are on sale! So, if you want to scrap your original Christmas decoration plans in place of a Joanna Gaines-themed one, no Fixer Upper fan would hold it against you. (In fact, they’d encourage it!) These pieces—a candle holder, old-school measuring cups, and The Nutcracker motifs, to name a few—will make your space feel utterly festive in all the right ways. Just don’t wait too long to buy them because plenty of Joanna’s top picks have already sold out.
Linzer Cookie Cutter Boxed Set
When it comes to holiday cookies, all are fair game. Our personal favorite, though, happens to be a Linzer cookie because, technically, it's two cookies, one of which is dusted in sugar, and what could be better than that? The only issue? They're not exactly something you can whip up in a matter of minutes. They take time and attention to detail to make a truly perfect batch. Luckily, this set, which includes holiday-inspired center shapes (and one classic round), makes the process easier.
Nutcracker Folklore Ornament Set
Designed by the creative duo behind Argentinian-based La Maison Naturaliste, this set of five ornaments recall some of our favorite motifs from Balanchine's beloved The Nutcracker ballet, which debuted a week before Christmas in 1892. All these decades later, it is still one of the world's favorite performances.
Alpine House Wood Advent Calendar
Some advent calendars are better than others. This wooden structure is one of the superior options. The intricately designed tabletop calendar's slots can be filled with anything of your choosing (as long as it fits). We suggest going with a piece of candy.
Marie Painted Vine Measuring Cups
These stackable measuring cups may be some of Gaines's favorite pieces for the holidays, but they're not so overtly festive that you can't use them all year. They have a vintage feeling we'll never say no to.
Holiday Spinning Candleholder
This is not your average candle holder. In fact, it's much more interactive. Simply place tea candles (nothing bigger) in the four slots, light them, and wait a few moments. The rising heat actually spins the propeller, which, in turn, spins the figures on the base.
Red Berry and Cedar Wreath
It's not Christmastime without a holly-accented wreath, right? Enter this faux cedar wreath, which is finished with a mulled wine-colored velvet ribbon. It's on the larger side (it's 27 inches across), so if you like your decorations petite, this may not be for you. Otherwise, embrace the festive spirit and go big.
Gingerbread House Bundt Cake Pan
We didn't show a photo of the actual pan itself because it doesn't do the cake justice. Just look at how magically detailed the gingerbread house-shaped treat is! All you have to do is pour your ingredients into the pan and bake to perfection.
Bowl of Cherries Ornament
Another Christmas essential? Ornaments. There are so many on the market these days that we felt a little overwhelmed. Luckily, Gaines offered her suggestion at the perfect time. This overflowing bowl of cherries adds the perfect amount of pop to any tree.
Vivian Cut Glass Serving Bowl
Inspired by vintage crystal, the Vivian bowl is made of glass, so it's not quite as delicate as the serving piece it's modeled after. Whether you fill it with salad, punch, or pudding, it will make anything taste that much more delicious.
Marble Tic Tac Toe
Like the measuring cups, this tic tac toe board isn't strictly for the holidays—though it is fun to play before the holiday feast begins. It's made entirely of marble, so it's not exactly something you'll want to store in a cupboard until your next party. Just leave it on the coffee table and engage in a game or two during movie night or your morning coffee.
