Joanna Gaines Says She’s Open To Having More Kids
Chip and Joanna Gaines are expecting their fifth child sometime this summer-and they might even welcome more kids than that down the road. In an interview with People magazine, Joanna revealed that she and Chip don’t necessarily want to stop at baby number five.
“I joke with my friends that I’m going to be that 45-year-old who’s pregnant,” she said. I’m open to whatever. I’m just having fun with it.”

Joanna, 40, says pregnancy is different this time around because her kids are all older. She and Chip are already parents to Drake, 13, Ella Rose, 11, Duke, 9, and Emma Kay, 8.
“I had four kids aged 4 and under [at one point],” she said. “There were so many diapers, and it was chaos. Those years just flew because there was so much happening in the moment. I feel like I can really take this one in and relish these moments.”

That openness to more kids isn’t a new attitude, either. Last June, before baby number five was in the picture, Jo said she would be happy to welcome another child. “Chip thinks we’re done,” she told People then. “I would love to have another baby - or twins! The kids are always asking me, ‘Mom, can you have another baby?’”
Then, on October 29, possibly when the couple knew they were expecting, Chip joked about having more kids now that Fixer Upper is over. “We had four babies right before the show started and then we’ve had zero babies since the show started,” he told ABC News. “For me, I’m really excited to go back and try to maybe … try to make some more babies.”
