Jennifer Lopez's Daughter, Emme, Will Sing at Her Mom's Wedding Ceremony (& She's Already Got a Song Choice in Mind)
It looks like Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez will have some amazing wedding entertainment on their special day.
Lopez's daughter, Emme Maribel Mu?iz, just teased that she'll be singing at the wedding ceremony—and she's already got a song in mind.
In her interview with E! Online, the 12-year-old revealed, "One song that I think I would sing is a song that connects me and her. But I'm also thinking of a song that would connect her and Alex."
Although Emme has yet to make her final choice, she revealed that there's one song at the top of her list—and it's all because of the role it played throughout her childhood. She explained, "One that connects me and her is 'You Are My Sunshine.' She sang that to me every day when I was little, when I was going to sleep."
Considering Emme's impressive pipes, the news that she'll be performing at the wedding is no surprise. If you recall, Emme lent her stellar vocals to the 2020 Super Bowl Halftime Show, where she joined her mom onstage and sang Bruce Springsteen’s "Born in the USA." Also, in June 2019, the songstress and her mom nailed their "Limitless" duet during Lopez's It’s My Party Tour in California.
Only weeks before Emme's first on-stage appearance, Lopez uploaded the first clip of her daughter singing to Youtube. After Emme's impressive rendition of Alicia Keys' "If I Ain't Got You," Lopez gushed, "We should have her come out and do something on tour!" (Clearly, she's a woman of her word.)
Lopez and Rodriguez got engaged in March of 2019, but due to the coronavirus pandemic, they've had to postpone their Italy wedding. Lopez told Elle, "I'm a little heartbroken, because we did have some great plans, but I’m also like, 'you know what? God has a bigger plan,' so we just have to wait and see. Maybe it’s going to be better. I have to believe that it will be."
One thing's for sure—Emme's singing alone will make it a wedding to remember.
