Jennifer Lopez poses in the bath for 'Self-Care Sunday'
The spa, the beach, your own bed ... there are plenty of places to spend "Self-Care Sunday." For Jennifer Lopez, the best one is in the tub.
"Happiness is a long hot bubble bath (even if you have to take a quick call!)," the superstar, 52, captioned two shots of herself sitting in a foamy bubble bath. Wearing nothing but jewelry — signature J.Lo hoops, a delicate heart-shaped pendant necklace and her famous Bennifer 2.0 engagement ring — the star rocks a messy up-do and risks a rice submersion by having her smartphone in the bath with her.
"Such a timeless beauty," one fan gushed of the star, who, per her caption, will be making an appearance at the MTV Movie & TV Awards on Sunday.
Lopez recently opened up about her "journey to wellness" after realizing she had been letting "my own self-care needs go completely." After experiencing a panic attack and other physical symptoms, she vowed to prioritize her sleep and find a better work-life balance.
Beyond relaxation, baths have a special significance for the singer, dancer and actress. In April, she revealed that back-on beau Affleck had proposed to her for the second time while she was taking a bath, also known as her "favorite place on earth." The couple were previously engaged in 2002, but called off the wedding two years later, going on to marry and divorce new partners before reuniting last year.
"Saturday night while at my favorite place on earth (in the bubble bath), my beautiful love got on one knee and proposed," she told fans of the April 2 moment. "I was taken totally off guard and just looked in his eyes smiling and crying at the same time trying hard to get my head around the fact that after 20 years this was happening all over again, I was quite literally speechless and he said, 'is that a yes?' I said YES of course that’s a YES."
She also described the proposal as "nothing fancy at all, but it was the most romantic thing I could've ever imagined."
