Jennifer Lawrence Wore A Green Maternity Dress And Trench While Out In NYC With Husband Cooke Maroney
On Friday, soon-to-be- first time parents Jennifer Lawrence and her husband Cooke Maroney went house hunting in New York City, searching the East Village area with a real estate agent. Lawrence is close to the end of her pregnancy, and wore a loose green maternity dress under a tan trench coat with navy tights and Mary Jane flats.
In August of last year, Lawrence sold her penthouse in Manhattan for $9.9 million, which was originally listed for $15.45 million. She moved to a property in the West Village, a brand new townhouse for $22 million. It's unclear if there are plans to put that property up for sale as well.
Lawrence has taken a break from acting in recent years, but she returned this year for the new Netflix film Don't Look Up, also starring Leonardo DiCaprio and Meryl Streep. Lawrence went on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert this month. Colbert asked her what she'd been doing the last three years.
Pointing to her baby bump, she joked, “I just had a ton of sex.”
Colbert congratulated her, and Lawrence got more serious and said, “I'm joking. Um, I cooked a little. The pandemic happened and then I cooked and I cleaned a lot.”
She added that if she ever retired from acting completely she had a new career in mind.
“I think I would be a really good housekeeper,” said Lawrence to laughter. “No, I really do. I make a mess, but I'm really good at cleaning it up. I can attack a mess.”
In an interview with Vanity Fair, in November, Lawrence gave a deeper answer about why she drew back from the spotlight to start a family.
“I didn’t have a life,” she said. “I thought I should go get one.”
