Jenna Bush Hager tries out 7 new hairstyles in 1 hour on TODAY with Hoda & Jenna

Jenna Bush Hager got to try out seven gorgeous hairstyles in just one hour, with some help from celebrity hairstylist Chris Appleton.

Appleton, known for creating looks for Kim Kardashian, Jennifer Lopez, Ariana Grande and other stars, stopped by TODAY with Hoda & Jenna Oct. 23 and created a new look for Jenna during every commercial break over the course of an hour.

He only had a few minutes to create each look, but Appleton wasn't worried.

"I got this, easy," he said at the beginning of the hour. "You know, as soon as I met Jenna, I knew she was born for this.”

Check out each of the looks Appleton created for Jenna during the whirlwind styling session.

1. The bombshell blowout

Up first was a center-parted blowout with long, voluminous layers.

Jenna showed off the look with some help from a wind machine, which Hoda pointed in her direction.

“I’m scared that one of the extensions is going to fly off!” Jenna exclaimed.

Jenna said she liked this look, but that it would take some getting used to because it was so different from her regular style.

“I’m looking at myself and I don’t recognize myself, and that’s a weird thing,” she said.

2. The long pony with curtain bangs

Next up? A sleek ponytail, softened up with some face-framing curtain bangs.

While Jenna said Appleton did trim her real bangs, these longer ones were clipped on.

3. The J. Lo

Jenna channeled her inner Jennifer Lopez with this half-up, half-down style.

“This is definitely the J. Lo, without question,” Hoda said of this look.

There was apparently some pain involved when creating the hairdo, as seen in a behind-the-scenes glimpse of Appleton brushing Jenna's hair into a tight half-ponytail.

“You should have heard us during the commercial break,” Jenna said.

“She was screaming like Haley when I brush her hair," Hoda said of her daughter.

4. The top knot

Appleton appeared to borrow Jenna’s curtain bangs from her second look, using them to frame her face as she rocked an elegant top knot.

“It’s getting shorter and shorter!” Jenna said.

5. The glamorous blowout

For the fifth look, Appleton styled Jenna’s hair into a pretty blowout with soft layers and a side part.

6. The '90s updo

For the next look, Appleton swept Jenna's hair into a messy updo, which he called a "'90s pin-up."

7. The final cut

After completing this look, Jenna gave Appleton permission to take a little bit of length from her actual hair — and he even handed the scissors to Hoda for a second so she could claim to be involved in the chop.

“I just wanted to say I did," Hoda said.

The result was a style just slightly longer than shoulder-length, with plenty of movement and body.

"It's fresh! Out with the old, in with the new," Appleton said.
