Jason Sudeikis Reportedly Thought He and Olivia Wilde Were Still Together as Recently as Fall

While earlier reports of Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde separation claimed that the two had split in early 2020, new sources told People that Sudeikis is refuting those reports. The magazine reports that Sudeikis believes that Wilde's new relationship with Harry Styles is what inevitably ended the couple's engagement, saying that sources revealed that "she and Jason were very much together as recently as this fall."

"Jason feels that the timeline that Olivia and Harry would like people to believe—that she and Jason split ages ago, long before she became involved with Harry—is simply not accurate," the source said. "She began filming [Don't Worry Darling] in September, and by October, he began to get the impression that she wanted out. By November, they'd announced their split."

The two met in November 2011 and Sudeikis proposed in late 2012. The couple has two children together: Otis Alexander and Daisy Josephine.

The source added that Sudeikis felt blindsided by the developments, saying, "But that's how quickly it happened, and none of it happened until she began filming with Harry."

The new developments refute People's previous claims, which stated that the couple had broken up early on in 2020.

"Olivia and Jason were broken up as of early 2020. The recent news that she has moved on is no surprise," another source had said. "Olivia and Jason's relationship continues to be focused on their children and co-parenting them."

Sudekis "is absolutely heartbroken about the split," the source added at the time. "There is still a lot of love there, and he would like to have hope that maybe there's a way for them to repair things. But what happens next remains to be seen."
