Jason Kelce Looks Back on 'Tremendous' Childhood Family Tradition That He 'Misses' Now
Philadelphia Eagles center Jason Kelce
Jason Kelce is remembering good times, looking back on a memorable family tradition he misses from his childhood.
During the latest episode of he and brother Travis Kelce's sports podcast, New Heights—which was released on Wednesday, Jan. 3—the Philadelphia Eagles center recalled something his family would do yearly around the holidays.
On the day before Christmas, the Kelce crew would head to church. "I will say, one of my favorite things that we did do every Christmas, that I kinda miss now, is going to church on Christmas Eve," the dad of three divulged—an occasion generally regarded as a "Candlelight service," in recognition of the season acknowledging the birth of Jesus Christ.

Travis chimed in, noting "it was the only time where we could feel like we were part of the choir".
"Yea, it was tremendous; you get to sing all these songs," Jason responded, as his younger brother added that "it's like a little singalong."
The Catching Kelce alum then asked which song was his big bro's favorite, with the 36-year-old (yet again) belting out into song, reciting a few lyrics of traditional Christmas tune, "We Three Kings of Orient Are."
Meanwhile, Travis chose "Silent Night."
On the other hand, it was a different aspect of the church service that ignited a core memory for the Kansas City Chiefs tight end, as he piped in, "And the candles—we all got our own candles."
He then admitted to being "a little pyro[maniac] as a kid," joking that he "just loved sitting there and looking at the candle," because "our parents didn't allow us to play with fire."
All in all, though, the Catching Kelce alum showed gratitude to the duo's mother for helping the brothers create lifelong memories, likening the annual tradition to a "field trip" for their family.
"It was fun. Thanks, mom, for doing that," Travis publicly shouted out Donna Kelce for her efforts.
