Singer says he makes 'way more' than $75,000 per TikTok: 'Can't hate'
How you view Jason Derulo dictates what generation you’re in. If you associate “Whatcha Say” with him rather than Imogen Heap, you’re a millennial. If you immediately think of the meme of him falling down the stairs at the Met Gala — millennial. If you think of him as the guy who had an unintelligible accent in “Cats” and who now makes weird TikToks, sigh, you are Gen Z.
Derulo has gone viral a couple of times for his wacky TikTok videos, from knocking out his teeth trying to eat corn off of a power drill to being surprisingly funny, his videos rack up millions of views.

Derulo’s net worth is a cool $14 million, but according to a recent interview he did with Complex, he gets paid a ton of money for his TikTok videos.
When asked if he can confirm rumors that he makes $75,000 per upload, Derulo responded: “I think it’s tacky to say what I do make from them, but it’s far more than that.” He did not clarify how much it was.

“I feel like I thrive on TikTok because I can show me. TikTok is all about creation and I love building things from nothing,” Derulo continued.
“Y’all always calling him corny but he making more money than all y’all,” one person replied to an Instagram post featuring the interview.
“he supposed to be an actual music artist not TikTok star… but the man making bread so hey I can’t hate,” another user added.
“Time to give tiktok a try,” an aspiring TikTok star commented.
For Derulo’s sake, let’s hope the government doesn’t actually shut TikTok down.
