Jameela Jamil Just Called Out Jamie Lynn Spears for Promoting "Bulimic Rhetoric" in a Twitter Ad
In this, the year of 2019, one might think that celebs know better than to promote weight loss scams. Last month, both Kim Kardashianand Kourtney Kardashian tried to push Flat Tummy Co products on Instagram, and in both instances their followers were NOT happy.
But it's not just the Kardashians-Cardi B has also been called out for advertising products that aren't so much helpful with weight loss as they are with pooping, and yesterday Jamie Lynn Spears took to Twitter to promote Flat Tummy Co shakes. She tweeted:
#ad Get ready for all the National Pizza Day posts tmrw ?? I’ve got my Flat Tummy Co shakes so if I decide to treat myself to a slice or two ?? I'll be able to get right back on track! Get 20% off using the link below and try them for yourself! https://t.co/SDIweiwVbOpic.twitter.com/nW96eVfDMG

Obviously Jameela Jamil, who has been super vocal about calling out celebs who are making $$ off of these types of ads, was not having any of Jamie Lynn's tweet. She replied:
This is literally bulimic rhetoric. The “binge” and “purge” routine. Taking a big laxative to do a big poo after some pizza doesn’t get you “back on track.” It’s just a poo, and then you can’t poo again for days after... You lose nothing but water, time and MONEY #stopdetoxscamshttps://t.co/GVIF6DBAYe

And it's not just Jameela who was less than amped about Jamie Lynn's post-many of her followers also called Jamie out, commenting things like, "Ur not a good role model!!!!," "Boooooooo! Hisssss!!," and "This is truly appalling." Yikes!
And I've got to say, I'm with JJ & Co. on this one-I'd much prefer to enjoy my pizza without worrying about how it's going to, er, come out, but maybe that's just me! ????♀?
