Ivanka Trump wore a $1,400 dress you might recognize from the royal wedding
If you watched the royal wedding on May 19 — or even just looked at photos afterward — the parade of fashions is no doubt burned into your brain. Amal Clooney’s mustard-yellow Stella McCartney. Serena Williams’s pale-pink Versace. Abigail Spencer’s polka-dot Alessandra Rich.
That last one made an impression on Ivanka Trump, apparently. Trump — who has worn Rich’s designs before, including a floral number she chose for a recent event on human trafficking — stepped out on official White House business Thursday in the very same navy-and-white polka-dot number Spencer wore to celebrate the special day of her former Suits co-star Meghan Markle.
The first daughter spent the day with her father, President Trump, joining him for appearances in Illinois and Iowa. She is currently promoting the Pledge to America’s Workers, which aims to create jobs and provide vocational education.

Trump — who shut down her own fashion brand this week — put her personal spin on the button-down midi-dress. In contrast to Spencer’s slim black belt and netted fascinator, the White House adviser opted for a thick white belt that matched the dress’s collar and cuffs.
Sarah Jessica Parker and Kelly Ripa have also worn the vintage-inspired design, but few others will have the chance. The dress — which retails for $1,413 — is currently sold out.
