Issa Rae shuts down pregnancy rumours on Twitter : 'Let a b-tch eat'

Issa Rae is setting the record straight on rumours she's expecting her first child.

On Wednesday, the 37-year-old "Insecure" tweeted a curt message to followers after fans said the star was sporting a "baby bump."

“I am not pregnant, f—-k you very much," Rae wrote. "Let a b-tch eat and be merry."

Last week, fans began speculating that the star and her husband Louis Diame were expecting a child after a video of Rae at an event surfaced online.

In the video, Rae runs to greet her former "Insecure" co-star Yvonne Orji with a drink in hand and the two begin to dance.

“Issa Rae and husband Louis Diame are Expecting!” one person replied to the snippet, while another added, “Oh how wonderful, congratulations!"

"I don't know but I just saw a video of Issa Rae and it’s giving pregnant," someone else replied.

"Is that a baby bump?" another Twitter user asked.

“Issa Rae being pregnant, all cute and subtle is giving me life," another wrote.

While some fans were quick to jump to conclusions, others dismissed the rumours and urged people not to weigh in on a woman's body.

"When people drink they get bloated!" one person said. "Most people have their photos edited. Mainstream media has robbed you all of celebrities looking 'normal.' She literally has alcohol in her hand."

"Let’s normalize not everyone's stomach is flat! Damn," another wrote.

"That’s a food belly or it’s bloating lol we women get that sometimes," someone said.

"Normalize normal bodies!" someone else sounded off.

"People really need to mind they own business!" a follower wrote, while another said, "Let women put on happy weight in peace."
