Some insights to selling a house

I’m not in real estate, although I highly respect the few real estate personnel whom I know.

From time to time, I like to suggest a few ideas with respect to selling a house.

First, I believe neat, well-kept houses appear to sell easier and sooner.

Second, Louise and I have proven an idea and shared it with others, also to their success. During the spring, summer and fall we have taken outdoor photos of our yard, trees, flowers, shrubs and other outdoor features such as a pleasant patio. If the opportunity to sell came in the winter when the outside was not as inviting, we could provide delightful outdoor photos from those flourishing months of the year.

This approach has been beneficial to some sellers and buyers. In fact, I have expressed this idea to my college students, a few of whom have expressed appreciation following graduation.

Another significant point is that if you have faith in the Word of the Bible, please study II Corinthians 8:13-14, which reads: “For I mean not that other men be eased, and ye burdened: But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality.”

In other words, to me this passage from the apostle Paul means, as an example, if you are providing a house for sale that you honestly believe is fair in all aspects, your prayer can be that the buyer will think likewise.

Again, this approach has been helpful in the sale of homes.

I hope, good reader, you will have a pleasant experience if ever you sell a house.
