Inside New York City Ballet's Fall Fashion Gala
On Thursday, September 30, New York City Ballet held its annual Fall Fashion Gala. This ninth edition of the event featured two world-premiere ballets—one with choreography by Sidra Bell and costumes designed by Christopher John Rogers and the other with choreography by Andrea Miller and costumes designed by Esteban Cortázar—in addition to a performance of Jerome Robbins’s Glass Pieces.
Guests including co-chairs Laverne Cox, Claire Danes, Hugh Dancy, Diane Kruger, Georgina Bloomberg, Deborah Roberts, Al Roker, and Mazdack and Zanna Rassi, gathered at Lincoln Center’s David H. Koch Theater for the evening, which featured decor by Raul Avlia, champagne from Ruinart, the ballet’s official bubbly, a seated dinner, and live music, and raised more than $2.5 million for the organization.
