Inside the 2022 City Harvest Gala

On April 26, City Harvest—which helps to feed millions of hungry New Yorkers—held its annual gala, honoring Eric and Sandra Ripert. The evening, which was hosted by Benjamin Bratt, drew a crowd including John Legend, Chrissy Teigen, Richard Gere, Neil Patrick Harris, Rita Jammet, Melba Wilson, Desus Nice and more.

The event, which was designed by Colin Cowie, included a seated dinner and a live auction (which was given an extra jolt by a live performance from Legend) and raised more than $5 million for the cause.

"City Harvest as always been about neighbors helping neighbors and that's been especially true as we rescued and delivered nearly 270 million pounds of food to New Yorkers in need during the pandemic," said Jilly Stephens, the group’s CEO. "Once again, our amazing supporters stepped up at our Gala to raise a record-breaking amount and enough to put more than 12 million meals on the tables of our fellow New Yorkers.”
