ICYMI, Taylor Swift Is a Huge Blackpink Fan and Proved It During the Group’s 2022 VMAs Performance
Taylor Swift just let it be known that she is indeed a Blink, aka a superfan of the amazing K-pop group Blackpink, and the internet might, in fact, erupt at this news. Just in case you need some proof, just take a look at T-Swift up dancing like a million cameras aren’t watching her and singing the entire time during Blackpink’s stellar VMAs performance tonight—it was truly adorable:
A girl who knows the words!! Yes! And it doesn’t stop there. In a TikTok Taylor made to show off her VMAs transformation, she used Blackpink’s song “Pink Venom” as the transition and was even singing along with it during the first part of the video. We love a stan moment, honestly.
Tonight has been a great night for both Blackpink and Taylor. The band performed at the VMAs this year and won the Best Metaverse Performance award in the pre-show, and Taylor already won the Long Form Video award for her short film All Too Well, which she wrote and directed. Taylor brought up her cinematographer, producer, and Dylan O’Brien, one of the actors from the video, with her onstage to accept. Sadie Sink, the other actor from the video, wasn’t in attendance, unfortunately.
But either way, Taylor and Blackpink literally dominated this show, and we just love seeing famous people be fans of other famous people. And maybe we can get a collab from these powerhouses in the future? A girl can dream!
