Hungriest Mother Food Challenges winners brought their appetite Saturday
MARION, Va. (WJHL) – The area’s most competitive eaters gathered in downtown Marion on Saturday at the Hungriest Mother Food Festival Challenges to determine whose appetite was ready to win.
The competition featured a dozen local businesses, food trucks, and restaurants. The food was sweet, savory, and even pickled.
Michael Karnes will be keeping his title for the seventh year as the Famous Dip Dog Stand competition winner, and Allen Heath chugged the most Mountain Dew in the Marion Mountain Dew Challenge.

“We wanna give a shout-out to everyone who came out and participated in our annual “Hungriest Mother” Festival Food Challenges this evening,” said Ken Heath. “These challenges are always so much fun and are a great way to highlight and showcase many of Marion Downtown’s delicious eateries!
