How G Flip, Chrishell Stause's new flame, explained what nonbinary means to kids
During Netflix's Selling Sunset's first reunion special on Friday, fans were stunned to learn that Chrishell Stause was dating nonbinary songwriter-producer Georgia “G Flip” Flipo.
Within a matter of minutes, the internet was buzzing with questions about Flipo, but one thing is abundantly clear: the Australian songwriter, who uses they/them pronouns, has been very open about their identity. Last year, in fact, they described themselves as a “gender smoothie” during an appearance on a kids' television show.
In a since-deleted June 2021 Instagram post, recently tweeted as a screenshot, Flip came out as nonbinary, writing: “I’m still the exact same person, non-binary is just the best way to explain who I am and how I’ve always felt, like a gender smoothie.”

Last month, Flip elaborated on what they meant on Instagram: "If strawberries were girls and blueberries were boys and you put them in a blender, you'd get a gender smoothie. I am a gender smoothie,” they wrote.
In the caption, the singer explained that the "gender smoothie" zinger was their answer when asked how it felt to be nonbinary on a kids' TV show.
The April post elicited a slew of positive responses from queer folks and allies as well — including from Stause, who wrote: “The most perfect blend."
“This is such a cool way to describe it!!” another comment read.
“This is exactly how I feel too!” wrote a fan. “Love this analogy and the fact you shared it with the younger generation who may be looking to understand who they are!”
Stause and Flip have been developing a romance for a while, some of which was divulged on the Selling Sunset reunion special when the star opened up about their bustling relationship.
“I recently have been spending a lot of time with someone that's very important to me, their name is G Flip," Stause said on the special. "They're nonbinary so they go by they/them. And they are an extremely talented musician. And it started because, you know, I was just going to be in their video. It's about this chaotic love story. And, you know, I come from soaps, I love acting, and with the job that we have I don't always get to do it. And so, at first of course I was like 'yes, let's do that.'"
Stause later shared a clip of her cameo in Flip’s “Get Me Outta Here” music video, which premieres later this week. "It was so much fun, we had such a blast,” she said of shooting the video. “Not everyone's going to be ready for it, but I think it's great. I think it's amazing, the song is amazing.”
The new couple has clearly been having fun together since announcing their relationship.
Over the weekend, Flip shared a photo of Stause showing off her tattoo skills as she inked their leg: a red lipstick kiss with the words "GET ME OUTTA HERE" written on top.
"[F**k] houses do ink," Flip captioned the photos showing the tattoo session in motion, to which Stause wrote in the comments section, "Found my new calling. Might open up a new shop."
Though it's unclear when the pair began dating, People recently reported that Flip is living with Stause in her Los Angeles home, which she bought in part by selling her wedding ring from ex-husband Justin Hartley.
Stause and Hartley, 45, finalized their divorce in Jan. 2021, after he surprised her with the filing in 2019.
