No disrespect to the tropical beach honeymoon (we mean, that sounds pretty damn divine), but it's not exactly the most original hook for the trip of a lifetime.
Apparently, today's couples are feeling a malaise...and itching for a honeymoon of a different color. According to Pinterest's 2018 Wedding Report, search for Switzerland honeymoon inspiration is up 856 percent over last year.
The appeal isn't lost on us: There are cosmopolitan cities (see: Zurich; Geneva) with amazing arts and dining scenes. There's world-class skiing and hiking in the unspoiled beauty of the Alps. And the peaceful, rolling countryside is chock full of picturesque towns, ancient castles, crystalline lakes and sunny vineyards. Plus, there's a host of truly magnificent resorts and health spas to check into for some marital pampering.
