The Hot Air Brush Is the Lazy Girl's Way to an At-Home Blowout
We’re all for an arm workout, but straining our biceps to blow-dry our hair? No, thanks. Enter: The hot air brush. It’s a hybrid between a blow dryer and a brush, making it more than possible to recreate that coveted salon ’do in your very own bathroom.
How does it work? The barrel of the brush has vents that diffuse hot air (hence the name), so you can blow-dry and brush with one hand (huzzah). Some brushes even have a rotating barrel for extra smoothing benefits.
And how do I use it exactly? Just like you would a normal round brush, wrapping sections of hair around the barrel and gliding it from root to tip. Minimize any heat damage by applying a heat protectant to damp strands and then rough drying quickly with a traditional blow-dryer—this will speed up the whole process. And be sure to place your hair over the brush if you’re looking for volume.
