Hong Kong Disneyland Will Reopen Its Doors Again After A 2-Month Closure
Update, September 22, 2020, 10:05 a.m.: Disney announced that Hong Kong Disneyland would be reopening its doors on September 25, roughly two months after it closed its doors for the second time because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In a statement on the Disney Parks Blog, the company said the park would be opened "in alignment with the latest guidance from health and government authorities, the resort will continue its measured approach with health and safety measures implemented as a top priority, including capacity control, health screenings, temperature checks, requiring face masks, social distancing, and increased cleaning and disinfecting."
Update: July 13, 2020 2:49 p.m. Hong Kong Disneyland announced it would be temporarily closing its doors again on July 15, roughly a month after its re-opening.
A note on the Hong Kong Disneyland site reads "as required by the government and health authorities in line with prevention efforts taking place across Hong Kong, Hong Kong Disneyland Park will temporarily close from July 15, 2020." The park did not list a new date for reopening.
They did note that resort hotels will remain open with "adjusted level of services" and enhanced health and safety measures "such as social distancing measures and increased cleaning and sanitization." The park was the second Disney park to reopen amid the COVID-19 pandemic after closing in January. A Disney spokesperson told WESH that this closing will only affect the Hong Kong park and has not changed its upcoming plans.
"Across the globe, we will continue to monitor all new information, follow the direction of government and health authorities, and will make adjustments, as needed," they said.
Walt Disney World in Florida reopened two of its parks—Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom—this past weekend. Epcot and Hollywood Studios will reopen on Wednesday.
Original: June 15, 2020 12:31 p.m. Just about five months after closing, Disney confirmed via their official parks blog and social media accounts that Hong Kong Disneyland would be re-opening later this week. "Today, as our surrounding community takes steps towards recovery, I’m thrilled to announce that Hong Kong Disneyland will also reopen to the public on June 18," managing director Stephanie Young wrote in a statement.
Young notes that there will be a significant amount of new safety measures in place beginning on Thursday in order to prevent the spread of coronavirus:
During this initial reopening phase, the park will open with limited attendance. The park will implement social distancing requirements in queues, restaurants, attraction vehicles and at other facilities throughout the park, and will increase the frequency of sanitization and disinfection in high-guest contact areas.
These measures, she notes, are drawn from "the learnings from the recent reopening of Shanghai Disney Resort and Disney Springs at Walt Disney World." Still, Hong Kong Disneyland's re-opening will make it the second actual Disney park to do so (Shanghai Disney re-opened its gates early May and Florida's Disney Springs began its phased opening on May 20—both Disney World and Disneyland are currently set to re-open in July,).

Per CNN, guests will have to book their reservations at least a week in advance of coming to the resort and Annual Passholders will be given priority for booking. Like the measures in place elsewhere, all cast members and guests will be required to wear masks and many crowd-drawing activities (like character photo opps) will not be available for now.
