Home Depot Is Selling a Pineapple Plant to Bring the Tropical Vibe to Your Space
Your home or apartment might already be filled with plants and succulents, but how many of them have a pineapple growing out of the middle? Home Depot is selling a pineapple plant from Pure Beauty Farms, a Miami-based company, and it’ll make you feel like you’re on a tropical vacation.
The unique plant is part of the bromeliad family, which is native to tropical locations. However, they can do well indoors. The pineapple plant has swordlike spiny green leaves that create dense rosettes. An actual pineapple sprouts on the large center stem—and no, it’s not for eating. The ornamental pineapple, or dwarf pineapple, isn’t meant to be a snack. Consider it a different kind of flower.
You’ll want to find a sunny spot to keep your pineapple plant thriving. It needs about six hours of sunlight each day. According to the description, many people keep the pineapple plant inside during the winter months and move them outside once it gets warmer. It only needs to be watered once a week (twice if the soil doesn’t hold water well), so it’s a pretty low-maintenance addition for plant parents.

The pineapple plant is available at Home Depot for $29.98. It comes in a 5-inch designer pot, so you have what you need. Luckily, the plant is able to be delivered straight to your door, so you’ll have the tiny fruit plant in your hands in no time.
With the warm weather creeping in, now is the perfect time to add some more greenery to your collection. And you can’t get much more tropical than a literal pineapple surrounded by leaves, right?
