Holly Marie Combs Went OFF on the Charmed Reboot
The CW's Charmed reboot is just around the corner, and-as a mega-fan of the original show-I am here to say that, frankly, it looks pretty legit. Please watch the trailer for proof:
But one person who's feeling all kinds of iffy about this particular reboot? Original Charmed actress Holly Marie Combs, who you probably also know from playing Aria's mom on Pretty Little Liars.
After feeling like she'd been misrepresented in a recent article, Combs hit Twitter to share her true feelings about the reboot, clarifying "Let me say first that I appreciate the jobs and opportunities the Charmed reboot has created."

That said, she went on to explain that she "will never understand what is fierce, funny, or feminist in creating a show that basically says the original actresses are too old to do a job they did 12 years ago," which, fair.
"I hope the new show is far better than the marketing so the true legacy does remain," she wrote. "Reboots fair better when they honor the original as opposed to taking shots at the original. Reboots also do better when they listen to a still passionate fan base which is what it’s all about, isn’t it? That’s why we do reboots. The fans are why we all get to do what we do. So we wish them well and hope for success."
