Hilaria Baldwin Confirms Miscarriage At 4 Months With Heartbreaking Video
Hilaria Baldwin revealed that she suffered a second miscarriage in an Instagram post Monday night.
She shared a heartbreaking video of herself sharing the news with her six-year-old daughter.
Hilaria has previously opened up about her experience with miscarriage in April 2019.
Hilaria Baldwin shared devastating news with Instagram fans late Monday night: She’s suffered another miscarriage.
“We are very sad to share that today we learned that our baby passed away at 4 months,” Hilaria wrote alongside an Instagram video of herself with her daughter, Carmen. “We also want you to know that even though we are not okay right now, we will be. We are so lucky with our four healthy babies—and we will never lose sight of this.”
Hilaria said that she told Carmen, who is 6, the news and took the video that she shared so that she could send it to her husband Alec Baldwin. “I guess this is a good way to share it with you too,” she wrote. “I told her that this baby isn’t going to come after all...but we will try very hard to give her a little sister another time.”
Hilaria said that she’s “really devastated right now…I was not expecting this when I went to my scan today. I don’t know what else to say...I’m still in shock and don’t have this all quite clear.”
The video is heartbreaking. In it, Carmen tells Hilaria that she’s sorry for her loss and guesses how long it will be until they have another baby. “Thank you for saying you’re sorry,” Hilaria says, holding back tears. “Mommy is sad.” She then starts to break down as Carmen gives her a hug and kiss.
Hilaria also talked about her loss on Instagram Stories and suggested that she’ll have a dilation and curettage procedure today. “Today didn’t go as planned. I’m very sad,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself holding her belly. “Tonight is my last night with her…such a strange experience.”
In April 2019, Hilaria shared with fans on Instagram that she was “most likely experiencing a miscarriage” and later confirmed that there was no sign of a heartbeat at her scan. In September, she shared that she and Alec were expecting again and, soon after, they revealed that the baby was a girl.
Hilaria and Alec are also parents to Rafael, 4, Leonardo, 3, and Romeo, 17 months.
