HGTV's Erin Napier Shares Emotional Excerpt from Forthcoming Memoir
This October, Erin and Ben Napier's debut book, Make Something Good Today: A Memoir will be released, and we can't wait to learn more of the story behind the beloved HGTV's Home Town duo.
Now, Erin Napier has taken to instagram to whet our appetite further for the release. "It’s finally getting close... For the next two months @scotsman.co and I will be sharing excerpts from our memoir, Make Something Good Today, that’s coming out October 2. Click the link in my profile to pre-order the book and next week we have news about the huge gift one of you will receive if you pre-order. A hint: Ben designed it," she captions her post, adding that fans can follow @laurelmercantile for updates on entering the contest. The visuals feature a touching excerpt from the book and a photo of Erin as a young girl (and bookworm!):
"As the baby of my family, I struggled to relate to people my age, so I became a teacher's pet — connecting with those closer in age to my parents and aunts and uncles. Though my family made me feel less lonely, they couldn't take away the feeling that I didn't belong," Erin writes in the book, as revealed in her post. Clearly, this is going to be a memoir that we'll need to keep a box of Kleenex nearby for at all times.

Until the book comes out this fall, we guess we'll add an extra dose of Ben and Erin to our lives by picking up some of their favorite American-made products and channeling that Laurel lifestyle into our own homes.
