Taylor Swift celebrated her 34th birthday on Dec. 13 in New York City, where the singer has already received several giant floral arrangements at her Tribeca apartment. Missing from her private festivities later? Her boyfriend, Travis Kelce, who did not travel from Kansas City, Missouri, to be with her on Wednesday night, a source confirmed to Page Six. The reason is simple: Travis had mandatory practice today. Work, understandably, comes first. The Kansas City Chiefs are in the middle of their football season and will be playing the New England Patriots on Sunday.
Taylor left Kansas City on Tuesday, where she had flown to see Travis play. Photos of them kissing at a Christmas bar came out from after Sunday’s game.
Taylor addressed her birthday on social media while announcing the release of her Eras tour concert film on streaming. “I had the time of my life fighting dragons with youuuu ?? Celebrate 34 with me by watching The Eras Tour (Extended Version) including “Long Live” ?? “The Archer” ?? and “Wildest Dreams” ?? at home!” she wrote. Then, she added in good humor, “PS troll me all you want about my excessive and literal millennial emoji use but A) no one’s prouder to be a millennial and B) it’s my bday and today I am exempt! ??”
The pop star spoke to Time last week about why she is content living her life more publicly now. “Over the years, I’ve learned I don’t have the time or bandwidth to get pressed about things that don’t matter,” she said. “Yes, if I go out to dinner, there’s going to be a whole chaotic situation outside the restaurant. But I still want to go to dinner with my friends. Life is short. Have adventures. Me locking myself away in my house for a lot of years—I’ll never get that time back. I’m more trusting now than I was six years ago.”
