Hannah Brown Beat Out These 4 Ladies to Become the Star of ‘The Bachelorette’
ICYMI: Hannah Brown is the new Bachelorette. While the initial announcement didn’t come as a surprise, that all changed when we learned who she was up against.
Robert Mills—the senior vice president of alternative series, specials and late-night programming for ABC—recently sat down for an interview with E! News and revealed which ladies were in contention for the highly coveted role.
Although Mills admitted that they “had an embarrassment of riches in terms of potential leads,” he confirmed the decision came down to five ladies from Colton Underwood’s season.
“We met with Hannah G., we met with Tayshia,” he said. “We met with Caelynn, and we met with Demi.”
We can’t say we’re surprised by Tayshia and Caelynn, but the other two choices stopped us in our tracks. First, Hannah G. She appeared on part two of The Bachelor finale, and there’s only one word to describe her demeanor: heartbroken.
Unfortunately, it didn’t seem like Hannah G. had gotten over her breakup with Underwood, which is usually a red flag when it comes to choosing the next Bachelorette.
And then there’s Demi. We can’t deny that the girl is reality TV gold. “So, I have not dated a virgin since I was 12, but I’m excited to give it another shot,” she told Underwood on night one.
While we previously said Demi isn’t Bachelorette material, that was before we knew it would be Brown. And since Brown proved that she can’t string a sentence together during The Bachelor finale, “Demi, the Bachelorette” is sounding better and better.
On the bright side, there’s always Bachelor in Paradise.
