With 10.6 million followers on Instagram and a million followers on Twitter, there's no hyperbole in calling Hailey Baldwin a social media star.

And with that global fame comes both a great deal of support and waves of negativity. In the October 2017 issue of Fashion Magazine, the model opens up the drawbacks of having a major following on social media.

"It adds a lot of layers of insecurity," Baldwin reveals. "You're being told on a much larger scale that you're not pretty, you're not this, you're not that. Basically, it adds a lot of layers of bullying … You think about what they're saying, and you wonder if they're right."

Baldwin also discusses how she relies on her faith to stay grounded and optimistic. "I don't think anybody should be afraid to represent or talk about it, even though I feel there's something about Christianity that makes people very touchy," Baldwin divulges of her faith. "Which is why, now in my 20s, I try to surround myself with people who believe the same thing I do—who follow it and are open to it—because it's too hard to constantly get people to understand what I do if they just aren't interested in it."

We imagine Baldwin's star will only continue to shine brighter and brighter.
