Group of Rescued 'Hissy Pants' Kittens Found Abandoned in Tennesee Are Adorably Grumpy
It can't be easy being a rescued animal. Everything you've ever known is in the past, and nothing ahead of you is certain. Even if the rescuers and shelter workers are showering these animals with love, the crowded shelter environment can be overwhelming for anyone. I can't even imagine what it's like for baby animals!
Kittens and puppies normally rely on their mothers (or owners) to keep them safe and healthy, but shelter kittens like this feisty trio are being cared for by shelter staff. Needless to say, this can be scary!
On November 4, Tennessee's True Rescue shared a bittersweet video of the littermates reacting to some innocent petting. The rescuers needed to touch them to get them used to human contact, but the babies weren't too happy about it. Even though the kittens were feeling stressed out, it was adorably entertaining to watch their big reactions.
OMG--look at them! These rescue kittens can't be more than a few weeks old, but they're already showing as much personality as an adult cat. Clealry, they aren't used to human contact just yet.

"That spicy black cat has me laughing," shared commenter Siobhan. "I just know they're going to be the best cat when they adjust." I think you're right! This tiny kitten has a big personality, but that means lots of love for their forever owner, too. Clearly, whoever ends up with these spicy babies are going to be lucky cat owners!
As a matter of fact, these cats have already been adopted. This sweet throwback video is the perfect reminder of how far they have come, but it's also a wonderful glimpse into the work of an animal rescuer or shelter volunteer. Not every rescue animal is thrilled to make new friends, but this kind of care is necessary to raise healthy, friendly pets.
Adopting Kittens
Animal shelters are full of cats and kittens of all ages, but the kittens tend to be extremely popular with adopters. Frankly, it's easy to see why! These little cuties could mew their way into anyone's heart, but not everyone considers that kittens could actually require more work. They need to be fed more frequently than their adult counterparts, and they aren't nearly as independent (at first, anyways).
As a kitten grows up, you'll also go through the adolescent stage, which involves a lot more climbing and exploration. You may need to cat-proof your home during this time, but it's always worth the extra effort to keep your kitty safe. As these kittens will learn as they grow, living in a forever home can be life's greatest gift!
