Get your shopping carts ready, because Supermarket Sweep is coming back to television!

The iconic game show debuted on ABC in 1965 with host Bill Malone, and it featured contestants as they raced through the aisles of a grocery store and attempted to pack their carts with the most valuable items on the shelves. A revival of the series featuring David Ruperecht premiered on Lifetime in 1990, but Supermarket Sweep hasn't been on the air since reruns stopped in the early 2000s.

Now, more than a decade later, British production company Fremantle is bringing back the beloved show and it's generating a lot of buzz—namely because of who's involved in the project.

Deadline reported that Saturday Night Live alum Leslie Jones, who recently announced her departure from the late-night comedy program, will serve as the executive producer and host of Supermarket Sweep. If this is true, the newest version is definitely going to be hilarious.

No official announcement has been made about where the reboot will live, but multiple networks—including Netflix, ABC, NBC, and Fox—are reportedly bidding on it.

Although the revival is just now becoming a reality, news about Supermarket Sweep making a comeback was first announced by Fremantle in 2017.

"The time is ripe to bring back this all-time favorite game show which has traveled with such success over the years," Vasha Wallace, the Executive Vice President of Global Acquisitions and Development, said at the time. "Now, modern technology allows us the opportunity to update the show, making it relevant for a 21st-century audience."

The reveal of Leslie's part in the series has generated renewed interest among nostalgic fans—and they didn't hold back their excitement on Twitter.

We can definitely relate.

...Even if we do feel a little bit old .

There's been no word on a release date quite yet (or how to get cast on the show). Until then, you can find me running through the aisles of my local grocery store...just in case.
