Goat Family's Contentment Over Reuniting at Sanctuary Has People So Moved
We rarely think about the families that get torn apart when animals are neglected, abused, or mistreated. But one video of a goat family nestling after they were rescued together, as a unit, by workers at The Gentle Barn is absolutely heartwarming. It also shows a good reason why it's so important to keep animals together after the worst happens.
The clip from the Gentle Barn shows the goats having the sweetest moment together recently.
In the footage, Loll, and one of her goat parents rest their foreheads together in an adorable moment of family bonding. Loll, who uses a wheelchair, and her parent both have their eyes shut as they snuggle. Both seem so at peace.

In the caption, the animal sanctuary explained that this was no ordinary goat family. "This goat family is extra special," they wrote.
Loll was born back on a "freezing day" in January 2018. "Loll lost both back feet and the ends of her ears to frostbite," they explained. "We were able to rescue her and her mom, and later, reunite them with dad Merlin."
"Now Lolli gets to spend every day at our farm animal sanctuary, gently playing, running in her custom wheelchair, and nuzzling with her beautifully connected family," they added.
Is that not the most beautiful story you've ever read? People online were practically in tears. "That is so beautiful," wrote one person. "My heart just melted," another commenter added. "This makes my heart so happy," a third person chimed in. 'So beautiful. They look happy and content," someone else pointed out.
How Goats Show Love to Each Other
Not only do goats have families, they can also fall in love with each other too. Goats are sort of love bunnies, and have notable ways that they show affection to each other.
Look at any goat's body language when in a group of two or three and you can tell whether they love each other. Goats in love will show their affection by getting close to their loved one and by specific vocalizations. They'll also make it a point to do daily activities together like eating meals, sleeping together, or napping.
Goats can show love to humans too. With people, goats will calmly come up to them, lean on them, and show them peaceful body and eye contact.
Goats really are the most gentle of creatures and seeing them love and bond with each other is absolutely precious. Here's to many more moments like this one for this goat family.
