This Genius TikTok Hack Makes Wrapping Oddly Shaped Christmas Gifts Way Easier
We’ve all been there. You find the most adorable Christmas toy, stuffed animal, sweater, or candle and you bring it home for that special someone on your list. You open your closet and—gasp—you’re out of boxes and bags. The reality sets in: You’ll have to wrap this oddly shaped gift with paper alone. Instant groan.
If you’ve found yourself in this position before, you know exactly what happens after you attempt to cover your package: It rips! Thankfully, there’s an answer to this problem. One TikTok user has come up with a fool-proof hack for all your awkwardly shaped finds this holiday season.
In the video, the user has a cute stuffed moose as an example, but this technique will work on just about anything. You’ll end up creating a makeshift bag entirely out of wrapping paper, and finish it off with a ribbon handle.
You start by cutting the paper and folding it into thirds. Then, you fold up the bottom and flatten the corners to create a diamond-shape. Next, you fold the top and bottom corners in toward the middle, creating an opening. Finally, you pop your gift inside, and use a hole punch and ribbon for a DIY handle. Don’t worry if that sounds confusing—just follow along with the video!
