This 'Game Of Thrones' Wedding Shoot Even Had A Real-Life Dire Wolf
HBO’s “Game of Thrones” doesn’t exactly have the best track record when it comes to weddings.
Nevertheless, brides and grooms can still find loads of inspiration for their own (less gruesome) big day celebrations in the show’s rich fantasy world. Photographer Katie Lee of Katherine Elena Photography teamed up with Something Perfect Events and Events by Elizabeth Ashley for a “GoT”-inspired wedding shoot at Smithmore Castle in Spruce Pine, North Carolina that has us counting down the days until the show returns this summer.
The shoot stars model Austen Taylor Mauney as Daenerys Targaryen and Courtney Edelman as Sansa Stark. Just like their characters, these ladies slay.
River from Full Moon Farm Wolfdog Sanctuary ― a not-for-profit organization that cares for rescued wolfdogs ― did a paws-itvely perfect job playing the role of a dire wolf.

The dinner setup looked like a kingly feast.
The wedding cake included a tier of “dragon scales” ― a nod to the Queen of Dragons herself.
The celestial stationery suite was inspired by the sweet phrases Khaleesi and Khal Drogo would call each other: “Moon of my life” and “My sun and stars.”
